President of the University of Tehran and CEO of Golrang Industrial Group Visit the Construction Project of the FCBLD

On September 7, 2025 (16 Shahrivar 1404), Dr. Mohammad Hossein Omid, President of the University of Tehran, and Dr. Mehdi Fazli, CEO of Golrang Industrial Group, visited the construction site of the Fazli Center for Business Leadership Development to review the project’s progress.This project represents an important and impactful initiative for fostering collaboration between industry and academia, serving as a comprehensive model for strengthening partnerships between the University of Tehran and Golrang Industrial Group in the development of future business leaders.

 

The visit was hosted by the College of Management of the University of Tehran and was attended by Dr. Manouchehr Moradi Sabzevar, Vice President for Research and Technology of the University of Tehran; Dr. Masoud Sezavar Zakerian, Deputy CEO of Golrang Industrial Group; as well as several members of the Board of Directors, advisors, and senior managers of Golrang Industrial Group.

At the beginning of the visit, Dr. Taher Roshandel Arbatani, President of the College of Management, University of Tehran, welcomed the attendees and presented a report on the various stages of the project, including the initial concept development, the establishment of the cooperation agreement, the registration of the research institute within the University of Tehran, and the subsequent design and construction of the Center’s facilities. He expressed his hope that the project would be completed according to schedule by March 2026 (Esfand 1404) and invited Dr. Omid to attend the official inauguration ceremony of the Center, planned for April 27, 2026 (7 Ordibehesht 1405), coinciding with the anniversary of the birth of Mr Mohammad Karim Fazli.

Dr. Mohammad Abooyee Ardakan, President of the Fazli Center for Business Leadership Development, then presented the story behind the establishment of the Center and outlined its long-term vision. According to this vision, the Center seeks to foster a synergistic network of major Iranian businesses that, alongside Golrang Industrial Group, will contribute up to 40 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product over the next ten years. He also provided a brief overview of the Center’s strategic plan.

During the session, Dr. Omid noted that Dr. Fazli is recognized not only as a creative entrepreneur but also as an individual who has made significant philanthropic contributions to the academic community. He described the spirit of serving others—a value that was also embodied by Dr. Fazli’s father, Mr Mohammad Karim Fazli—as a source of benefit and blessing for both the university and industry.

In his remarks, Dr. Fazli referred to his deep conviction regarding the responsibility entrusted to each of us by Almighty God. He stated that every individual bears a responsibility commensurate with the greatness and potential of Iran, and that this responsibility should be fulfilled to the best of one’s ability.

Referring to Iran’s substantial share of the world’s resources, Dr. Fazli emphasized the importance of increasing the country’s Gross Domestic Product and enhancing the performance of businesses in both production and service sectors. He explained that the ultimate purpose of establishing the Center is to create and institutionalize a nationwide platform for dialogue and discourse on business development across the country.
The visit continued with presentations by the project’s executive team, followed by a tour of the construction site and a review of the building’s progress.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Omid and Dr. Fazli each recorded a message in the Center’s commemorative guestbook. In his note, Dr. Omid expressed his appreciation to those who had played a significant role in the Center’s outstanding architectural design and thanked Dr. Fazli for his sincere efforts in establishing an institution dedicated to developing the country’s future leaders. In his message, Dr. Fazli expressed gratitude for the cooperation, solidarity, goodwill, and dedication of all those who have contributed to the Center, which he described as a national symbol of Iran’s continued growth and progress.
